KONE Replace Flex retains some original components but replaces all remaining parts to deliver the performance, safety, and reliability of a brand-new elevator.

Which components can be retained depends on the type and condition of your elevator. To determine the ideal solution, we conduct a site survey with you to understand your building, requirements, and unique needs.

  1. Landing doors – doors located at each floor of a building that separate the elevator shaft from the hallway or lobby.
  2. Frame – the rigid enclosure around the elevator landing door panels that supports the door mechanism and ensures proper alignment and safe operation.
  3. Sill - the metal plate at the elevator entrance that helps guide door movement and supports people and items moving in or out.
  4. Guide rails - rigid steel or aluminum components that ensure the car and counterweight move smoothly and safely by preventing swaying, tilting, or misalignment.

The performance of a new elevator, with minimum disruption

Instead of stripping everything out, Replace Flex allows you to keep key parts that are still in good condition. This allows for a more affordable elevator replacement, shorter project time, and minimized disruption to your building.
